me and my best friend spencer made these a few nights ago. SO GOOD. a variation off of a recipe me and my friend aimee made at school a while back, only then we used just oreos. i took this batch to my friend’s house later the day i made em and they were gone so quick! YURM
I’m at my friend’s chalet in Northern Quebec for a few days studying for the bar with a group of friends. We have all the ingredients for this in the pantry. Guess what we are doing on our next study break?
4 slices thick bread 2 tablespoons butter 3 whole eggs 1/4 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon pinch of salt 1/4 cup sugar 1 cup corn flake crumbs 1/4 cup peanut butter, melted 2 tablespoons chocolate chips, melted
In a large bowl, mix eggs, milk, cinnamon, salt and vanilla. On a plate, add corn flake crumbs and sugar, and mix well.
Preheat a large skillet on medium-low heat. Add bread to egg mixture and let soak on each side for about 60 seconds. Remove from egg mixture and thoroughly dredge through corn flake crumbs. Add 1 tablespoon butter to skillet and add bread. Fry until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes each. Repeat with additional bread, using remaining tablespoon of butter for the next 2 pieces.
Top french toast with melted peanut butter and chocolate. Devour!
Cut the bottoms of the strawberry flat to get them to stand upright. When you do so, make sure that you do not cut off so much that there is a hole at the bottom.
Use a huller or apple corer to empty out the strawberry.
Once the strawberries have been emptied, use a towel to pat the outside of the strawberries dry.
Check each strawberry and make sure there is not a hole in the bottom before you start filling.
1 box Strawberry Jell-O
4 ounces tequila, preferably reposado or blanco
2 ounce Cointreau
Salt for garnish
Boil one cup of hot water in a saucepan, then add in Jell-o powder and whisk until powder is completely dissolved, about 2 minutes. Set aside. Measure out 1/4 cup of cold water and set aside.
Combine tequila and Cointreau, in cocktail shaker filled with ice. Add liquour mixture to cold water and stir to combine. Then add cold liquour mixture to hot Jell-o mixture and stir to combine.
Pour final Jell-o mix into strawberries and chill overnight. Dip your finger in water or use a moistened brush to wet the edge of the strawberries, dip and rotate the strawberries in salt to rim. Garnish with cut lime triangles to finish.
